I am a cross-disciplinary student, though I like to define myself as a Music Technology Engineer that can play the violin.
I started my Music studies when I was 5, and I started programming computers when I was 8. Since then, I’ve been looking for a way to merge this fields that somehow structured my life.
After many years of experimenting, hacking and building things at home, I am finally getting into it. I recently got a bachelor on Music, another one on EE (Audiovisual Systems), a Master’s in Mathematical Modelling, and a lot of research experience from the great people at the Music Technology Group (Barcelona), the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California and McGill University’s Music Technology Department in Montréal, Canada, where I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Music Technology.
Fun fact: Llimona, my last name, means lemon in Catalan. That’s where my nickname comes from.
